The 2008 Chardonnay (Sangiacomo/Truchard Vineyards) has complex aromas with great acidity and balance. The wine was laid down in french oak barrels for 10 month in 50% new oak and 50% neutral. The 2008 is a very elegant chardonnay with ripe fruit characters that allow the wine to pair well with food.
Tasting Notes: Bright crisp fruit aromas of pineapple and peach burst at the nose on this opulent Chardonnay. It continues with flavors of grapefruit and honey, and hints of vanilla and coconut develop on the palate. Nutty flavors from oak including butterscotch and almond create a smooth, velvety texture that is expressed through the finish.
